How your dating data is handled

matchdata.me processes your dating app export files (Hinge, Bumble) entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your dating data is never sent to our servers, never transmitted over the internet, and never stored by us unless you explicitly choose to save it.

Saving is optional.By default, your data exists only in your browser's memory and disappears when you close the tab. If you click "Save My Data", your computed insights (not your raw export file) are stored in our database so you can access them later without re-uploading. You can delete your saved data at any time using the "Delete My Data" button, and it will be permanently removed from our systems.

What we store

Your email address and hashed password (for account authentication)
Your subscription status and Stripe customer ID (for billing)
Your computed dating insights — only if you choose to save them

We do not store:

Your raw Hinge or Bumble export files
Your photos, videos, or media
The content of your conversations
Your dating app login credentials
Any data you haven't explicitly chosen to save

Your rights

You have full control over your data at all times:

You choose whether to save your dating insights
You can delete your saved data at any time
You can delete your account entirely, which removes all associated data
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings

Third-party services

Supabase — Authentication and database hosting (your saved insights, if any)
Stripe — Payment processing (we never see or store your card details)
Vercel — Application hosting and analytics (anonymous page view counts only)

Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies.
